Typical uses
- Visual inspection of power lines, towers and insulators with a zoom gimbal
- Pipeline and corridor patrol
- Thermal inspection of solar plants, roofs and electrical equipment
- Documentation of construction progress and building façades
Technical data to compare
For inspection, endurance and sensor quality matter more than top speed. The CSY series carries 5 to 30 kg with a 1 to 30× zoom gimbal and four-constellation GNSS. The CS53 is a lighter quad with 100 to 110 minutes endurance according to the manufacturer and a visible plus 640×512 thermal camera. Compare endurance with your planned payload, control range, wind limits and the folded size for transport.
Thermal cameras and export control
Thermal imaging cameras and long-endurance aircraft can be subject to export controls, depending on their specifications, the destination and the end use. We review each configuration before an order is accepted and may ask for an end-user statement.
Approvals before operation
Inspection flights near infrastructure often take place in controlled or restricted areas. Operators usually need an organisation registration, a specific approval for each operation and, in some cases, permission from the asset owner. Flights beyond visual line of sight need separate approvals.
